College rush tickets are available 1 hour prior to curtain on a first-come, first-served basis. Rush tickets are not available for all Geffen Playhouse events. They are offered on a per-production and per-performance basis and are subject to availability. Rush tickets must be purchased in-person. Students must present a valid, current photo student I.D. at the time of purchase. Limit 1 ticket per student I.D.

Seating locations are at the discretion of the box office and may be purchased with cash or major credit card. Rush tickets are not exchangeable or refundable.

Patrons are strongly urged to call Audience Services at 310.208.2028 to determine eligibility and ticket availability. The $20 student rush ticket price includes any applicable facility and convenience fees.

Advance Student Rush Tickets are also available for selected performances.

$5 Teen Tickets

WHAT IS TEENTIX LA?

TeenTix LA is a youth development nonprofit organization that has been making arts and culture accessible to teenagers. TeenTix LA exists to break down the barriers that prevent teens from accessing art in our community, such as ticket or admission cost, not knowing where to look for events, navigating transportation around the city, and feeling insecure around arts-going if there's no one in their lives already championing the arts. Through our cornerstone program - The TeenTixPass Program - teens can sign up for a FREE Pass that allows teenagers to purchase $5 day-of event tickets.

HOW DO I GET MY TICKETS?

Teens (age 13-19) can sign up for a TeenTixPass. Once you've signed up for a Pass, you're eligible for $5 tickets to the Geffen Playhouse. Directly on TeenTix LA's events calendar, you can learn more about Geffen events and get access to a Geffen code that becomes active 24 hours before each show. Use that code directly on our website to purchase a $5 ticket for any seat in the house. Just bring your TeenTixPass and your student ID to the box office to pick up your ticket. You can also purchase your $5 ticket using your TeenTixPass at the box office on the day of each show, beginning at 12 pm (subject to availability). Wednesdays are 2 for $10 tickets for teens who want to bring a companion of any age with them to see the show.

Developed for members of the Dramatists Guild of America, Playwrights Welcome is a national ticketing initiative created by Samuel French, a Concord Theatricals company, along with input from other publishing and licensing houses. This program removes the barrier of cost from access to theatre, to better support the continued artistic development of our nation’s playwrights, composers, lyricists, and librettists—and by extension, the future of the American theatre.

Geffen Playhouse is proud to take part in Playwrights Welcome, which offers available tickets to professional playwrights, composers, lyricists, and librettists on the day of a performance, free of charge. To receive a ticket through Playwrights Welcome at the Geffen, please contact the box office in person or by phone (310.208.2028) on the day of the performance you’d like to attend. Please note that a Dramatists Guild membership card is required to pick up tickets, and there is a limit of two free tickets per member. Available while supplies last.

Geffen Playhouse welcomes U.S. military personnel, spouses and children as well as U.S. veterans

Geffen Playhouse is proud to partner with Theatre Communications Group and Blue Star Families to offer U.S. military personnel, veterans and their families discounted tickets to most season productions based on availability.

Based on ticket and offer availability, qualified individuals will be able to purchase $20 tickets (no fees, limit 4) to most regular season performances. Please note that availability for some performances or productions may be restricted. Call Audience Services at 310.208.2028 for details.

This offer is only available by calling 310.208.2028 (Tues–Sun, 12pm – 6pm, closed holidays) and providing the BLUESTAR code as well as your contact information. No more than 4 Blue Star tickets for each production may be purchased by any Eligible Service Member or spouse. In addition, one of the 4 tickets purchased must be used by the Eligible Service Member or his/her spouse. This limit will be strictly enforced. Exceeding the 4 ticket limit or duplicate purchases in any one production will result in cancellation of all orders. While discouraged, you may also be able to book tickets in person at the box office window immediately prior to your desired performance based on availability. The offer is not valid online or through other phone lines.
